Cool drink for warm holiday weekend

This Memorial Day weekend, cool off with your own homemade and healthy Juicy Tomato Smoothie, a refreshing alternative to fruit smoothies that has lower sodium than many canned vegetable juices.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cups of Fruits and Vegetables Per Person: 2.5


Tomatoes, chopped – 3 cups
No-sodium tomato juice – 1 cup
Apple juice – 1 cup
Carrots, sliced  – 1 cup
Celery, chopped –  1 cup
Onion, minced – 1 teaspoon
Ice – 1 cup

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
