Sarasota Memorial recently held a special celebration to mark the opening of the ground floor of its new Courtyard Tower!

Community leaders, Hospital Board members, staff, physicians and volunteers took a “sneak peek” tour of the hospital’s new lobby, registration department, preadmission testing, volunteer services, surgery check-in, Courtyard Cafe, courtyards and other public areas. The ground floor officially opens for patient care April 1. The rest of the nine-story tower will open in phases beginning in the fall. Upper floors are dedicated to cardiac and orthopedic units, while middle floors are devoted to an expanded intensive care nursery, labor & delivery and mother-baby suites. There are many more private rooms, which replace the oldest areas of the existing campus.
