12.30.2010 [Campus Improvements]
Construction of our new Courtyard Tower takes up most of the hospital’s “front yard,” but there’s still space for festive holiday spirits. A beautiful display of lights twinkles on the east side of the hospital’s Critical Care Center along U.S. 41/Tamiami Trail. Pictured below – installation of the lights and the shining results!
The most recent addition to Sarasota Memorial’s Courtyard Tower construction site is the 200-ton crane pictured below. With 140 feet of main boom and 150 feet of “luffer jib,” the crane will help construct the new replacement bed tower and can lift materials weighing up to 40,000 pounds.
