A Taste of Tuscany
10.11.2010 [Campus Improvements]

Visitors stopping by Sarasota Memorial’s 1700 South Café for a bite to eat not only will be treated to an array of homemade baked goodies, sandwiches, salads and other entrees. Now, they can also enjoy a view of the Tuscan countryside, thanks to an innovative film recently placed on the café’s windows to mask a construction site just outside the restaurant. Special thanks to Hospitality Services Supervisor John Shirk, the Food and Nutrition Services Team and Solar-X for coming up with a creative budget-conscious solution while the hospital continues its two-year Courtyard Tower construction project. 1700 South prides itself on offering visitors and staff appetizing meals in a serene atmosphere that provides an escape from the hospital’s normal hustle and bustle – The window wraps help visitors experience a relaxing change of scenery.
